We have a 10 year daughter and have completed CW Aesop - 1 and 2. What an excellent curriculum! We are pleased with the results! This year we plan to tackle CW Homer. I have both versions of Harvey's Grammar: Elementary and Revised.
Tracy - I've read in another thread how the Harvey's books "spiral" - treating the same topics again but in greater detail. Therefore, my question is:
Should I use Harvey's Elementary the first time through with Homer followed by Harvey's Revised the second time through with Diogenes?
Thanks so much, Kim Merritt Island, FL

In Diogenes, grammar assignments are given in both books, and you can take your pick which one to use. If you've worked through Harvey's Elementary once, I think the grammatical analysis of the models will be enough to stretch both you and your daughter without necessarily working through the Revised. Use it as a resource, by all means. I find the grammar 'sticks' more when wrestling with it in someone's writing as opposed to doing exercises on a specific topic.
All of which boils down to: do what works for you. Harvey's Elementary gives the basic structure, the Revised revisits the structure with more depth, and grammar analysis is a serious boot camp.
