There have been some doozy sentences to diagram in the Older Beginner workbook which are past my knowledge level. I see that there are three textbook resources suggested in the Homer core. Is there one that is particularly recommended for those of us who are completely lost when it comes to the super complex sentences?

;D
I had to go back and look. Tracy wrote that part of the text, and I was wondering, "What DO we recommend?" but once I saw it, it made perfect sense to recommend those three books.
I personally would recommend Mary Daly as a first resource for homeschool moms who are new to diagramming. She has tons of diagrams and she explains her diagrams carefully. BUT if you are where I see you're at (based on your post where you ask about our diagrams) I personally think that you should go with Descriptive English Grammar instead. It is more complex and has many more answers for difficult sentences.
Rod and Staff is fine. Tracy used it, but I cannot comment on its level of sophistication because I never used it myself.

Thanks. I'll take a look at Descriptive English Grammar.
