Hello - The suggested formatting for Vocabulary includes the use of a famous or quality quotation. Is there some super secret trick which would better enable us to find these Quotations? Some English teacher type website somewhere? If I just stick the word in Google that won't work. I hope this isn't a stupid question - I feel I must be overlooking something obvious but even our unabridged mega huge 2 ton dictionary doesn't have quotes for each word. Thanks!

We use Bartlett's Dictionary of Quotations and the Oxford Dictionary of Quotations. Some of the quotation websites have quotes that are worth previewing for children ... you can look around, check out what you get when you try the week's vocabulary words, and decide which one you'd like your children to use. Another option for some words is a concordance of the Bible. Carolyn
