Hi Lene and Tracy
hope you don't mind but I thought this was sweet and I wanted to share it with you since I never heard of this poem until I purchased your Poetry tome
my 7 yo son has been intoxicated by a CD of Poetry (A Childs Intro To Poetry)..that poem is in it..last night he asked me to lie down with him, he gave me a sweet kiss , curled up, said good night and with a great sigh of satisfaction stated "see mom, I went gently into that good night"
I thought it was so cute , a home school moment birthed during poetry month
