I purchased Harvey's Revised Grammar (HRG)recently, and I'm not sure if it covers the same material as Harvey's Elem Grammar (HEG), or more. Would HEG be easier to use with my upper elementary sons, or is there not much difference between the two? Thanks, Julie

The Revised and the Elementary cover much of the same matieral. The Revised goes into greater detail.
If it were me, I would start with the Elementary (for an upper elementary student) , take two years to do it, and then continue in the Revised.
My reason is that I believe that grammar solidifies in our minds by repetition, much repetition.

Thanks, Lene. That sounds like good advice.
P.S. Do you have an estimate on the publication date of your Homer workbook?

Our goal is to get them out as fast as possible, of course.
We have re-prioritized and will be doing CW Aesop's workbook first. For two reasons 1. it's easier to write up than the CW Homer workbook 2. by personal email I have had many requests to do it first.
Our goal is to get Aesop out this summer, if possible and have Homer by this fall .... again, if possible.
For those who go from CW Aesop and would love to have the CW Homer workbooks ready, our recommendation is that they do the CW Poetry Workbooks, which are close to publication, first.
We do recommend CW POetry 12 weeks out of each school year and so that would bridge those who are waiting for the CW Homer Workbooks.
I hope that helps. We're cranking as fast as we can.

Yes, I think I'll order the poetry unit when it's ready. We're currently working on Homer, but we're only at SL 1 and SL 3, so I can keep plugging along for now, then switch to poetry, and then finish up the school year '05-'06 with the Homer Workbook.

Yes, this is what we recommend to bridge over until the Homer Student work book is done... for those who feel that they want the student work book for ease of planning. Lene in hot Colorado
