I was looking at the samples of Diogenes:Chreia and it appears there is a fair amount of grammar review in the daily work. Homer, which we are currently using, has a fair amount of grammar as well aside from Harvey's.
Does Diogenes:Maxim also have grammar work throughout the daily lessons aside from the Harvey's Grammar similar to Homer?
Thanks.

Yes, there is Harvey's work, and there are daily CW lessons which may or may not be in grammar.
What I mean is that in every unit of Diogenes, we have both theory lessons (grammar and rhetoric) as well as analysis and imitation work.
The division is pretty much the same as in Homer.
BUT ...you may tailor the lessons as you see fit. If we choose five sentences to diagram, you may only want your student to do two. If we ask you to summarize the entire story (two pages) you may decide to only have your student do one paragraph. The work is set up to give challenges to all students including those with more time or whose mothers want to spend more time on it, but on weeks where you find time running short, cut back.
Cutting back will not detract from your student getting through the material, it will just limit the amount of repetition and practice he can do in a certain week.

Thanks. My duaghter is completing a comprehensive grammar course this year and will only need material to keep her fresh. So I am trying to determine if I will need to add in another light-weight grammar course to accomplish that or if CW will be enough (w/o Harvey's). If it is the same level of grammar work as Homer, that will be plenty.

I would imagine that the Diogenes work will be enough for her. I doubt, if she has done extensive grammar, that she needs to dig through Harvey's too. In fact, I have had a few rare moms who dig into Homer without an additional grammar program. It totally depends on the depth and time you spend in each lesson as well as on how much instruction your student has had elsewhere.
We use Harvey's and recommend it in CW because most students come to our books with very little or very simple grammar instruction.

Okay. Thanks. She will most likely be fine then without anything extra. If we get started with Diogenes and that isn't the case, I can always add it in.
