What are your thoughts regarding moving on to Diogenes without having finished Homer OB? We may finish through week 19 (we have often made the assignments spread out through 2 weeks). We are currently on week 16. Should we pick up where we left off when we begin the new school year or just move to Diogenes in September?

If you are that close to done, you will probably be fine to begin Diogenes next fall, IF your student is not having any trouble with the Homer lessons. For the next few weeks, you could just do the lessons that are new, and skip a few of the writing projects and review lessons. Combine lessons where you can. Skip the stuff that your student has mastered. Make sure all the grammar stuff is covered, because the grammar moves pretty fast in Diogenes. Also, make sure that you work on summarizing and precis writing, since you will be doing a good bit of that in Diogenes.
If you feel your student needs a bit more mastery of Homer, a few weeks left that you could use as review for next fall would still allow you to finish within the school year.
Let me know if you have more specific questions.
