Do you have a tentative release date for Beginner's Poetry WB B? Thank you, Karen

In short, no. It's in the writing stages, and almost certainly won't be available in the fall of 2006. But we're working on it! Carolyn

O.K., new question ;D
I have a ds13 and a ds11. We have been through Beginner's A. What is going to be covered in WB B that is not covered in WB A or Intermediate? I am trying to decide between going through some of WB A again to cement the principles covered, or moving on. We will also be finishing Homer and I guess moving on the Diogenes.
Thank you, Karen

Hi Karen. The most important new info is in the figure of speech area...similes, metaphors, and personification. Also, your student will begin to write essays about poetry and poets. There is a good bit of review of concepts learned in Poetry A as well. As far as the available date, here's the scoop: I've already done a good bit on this, and hope to complete it in the next few weeks. I'm now working on the IG, and so we will need to go through the proofing process, which can take a month or longer. So, if all goes perfectly, it could be ready by mid-fall. If I were you, I'd plan to finish Homer first, then do Poetry B. If it's still not ready, you could do a unit of Diogenes, then come back to Poetry. Hope this helps you! Kathy
