I am thinking of using The Latin Road to English Grammar with my 5th grader. However, I'm wondering if the Grammar in there will be overkill with CW's grammar - -especially when we get into Harvey Grammar . Any thoughts?
I've looked at Memoria Press and their Latin, but feel TLR would probably be a better fit for us. We do plan to use Memoria's logic.
Thanks,
Bridget

I'm not too familiar with TLR, but my children did have a good grounding in Latin before we began Harvey's in Homer. For us, the Latin made the English grammar review, so we were able to quickly go through the exercises orally. It wasn't overkill at all. I don't think the two will be overkill. They will likely re-inforce each other. You can be flexible concerning how and where you cover English grammar. The important thing is that it be covered! Carolyn

Thanks! That does make sense. I had a "duh" moment ~~ reviewing orally makes good sense. Bridget
