I am just now becoming familiar with Harvey's and I see that CW has an answer key for quite a bit more than the one offered by Mott Media. I understand they are different but I'm curious exactly how. The CW description says theirs includes the diagramming answers. Does the MM one not? Any other justification to spend more would be appreciated.
Also, are the CW workbooks for Harvey's reproducible or consumable?

Our goal was to make the key easy to use along with the workbook. One of the things we did differently from Mott's key was to place the diagrams in the same section as the sentence analysis. The Mott key places the diagrams in a separate section at the end. The Mott diagrams follow the conventions show in Harvey's. Prepositional phrases are diagrammed all on one horizontal line -- in fact, all words are diagrammed on horizontal lines. The CW key uses the same diagramming conventions followed in other CW books. The Mott key references things by page number, requiring the use of their edition of Harvey's (which is fairly reasonable ... it is the only version being currently printed.) Our answer key refers to things by section numbers, which are consistent among old and new editions. There's more white space on each page as well (a one-column format, rather than 2), and the text is larger. Our answer keys for all of Harvey's Elementary Grammar (Parts I and II - two books) are over 150 pages. The Mott key is 28 pages. We included both the sentence being analyzed, the full analysis routine in the Part I key or a complete parsing table for the Part II key. If you were working with your student and doing exercises orally, it would be difficult to follow along with the concise Mott key. The CW workbooks for Harvey's are not reproducible. Carolyn
