I'd like to bring three of our six children together w/ Harvey's and the Harvey's workbooks. (4th, 5th & 7th) Would 4th be to young? Thanks! ~deb

It depends on the 4th grader. For mine, it worked well. I think it's worth a shot, and if you discover the grammar is a bit beyond your 4th grader, you could just expose him to it now, and revisit the material as you meet with it in your studies. Carolyn

Thank you! Now, if going through Harvey's at a young age, how many times should he go through Harvey's (grades 4-12) Would going through Harvey's Elementary twice and Harvey's Revised once do it? (as well as referring to his grammar notebook and a good English Handbook as needed for his writing) ~deb

It all depends on the child. My son went through Harvey's 'young'. He grasped it the first time, and grasped it well. I'd say once is enough, if the grammar 'takes' and you use it.
If, on the other hand, he's more of a listener the first time through and doesn't get a good handle on the material, then going through Harvey's Elementary again when he's more prepared would be a good idea. And once through the Revised will put a lovely polish on his grammar knowledge.
