Hi everyone,
My dd. is about to begin the WP for Unit I. The Tortoise and the Hare is listed as an example. Is she supposed to use this fable, or are we supposed to pick another one? We weren't sure, since step-by-step examples are given. Is this just a bit of "hand-holding" for the first project?
Also, there does not appear to be a blank header chart in the appendix.
Thank you!

We usually start with a great deal of hand-holding to make sure the kids see the arrangement of the essay. The subject for WP 1 is very easy for that matter. She should be able to crank it out in short order. Perhaps write it one day and edit it the next.... or even doing the whole thing in 20-45 minutes, including editing for errors.
The essays will get more difficult as the course goes on. If you think this is too simple, pick another fable with another maxim for more challenge. We have suggestions at the end of WP 1 for what else you can do with it.
HTH, Lene
