I have a nine year old dd that I would like to start CW with. I was thinking about next fall but I also planned on starting Harvey's grammer with her. The only grammer she has had is what is in SWR and Prima Latina. From what I have been reading is that CW Homer is better to start with Harvery's. So if I start her in CW -Aesop now would she be ready for Harvey's and CW Homer by this fall? I am feeling a little stressed that she is probably way behind looking at the ages that you can begin your program with. Thank you Lora

Dear Lora, No! You're not behind. Witha 9yo you have plenty of time. Harvey's is not necessary with CW-Aesop, but is recommended for the grammar "theory" book to accompany CW-Homer. In any case, I recommend starting with CW-Aesop for at least a while. How long depends very much on the student. CW-Aesop and CW-Homer are not "grade level" programs at all. In fact, you can customize them quite a bit by controlling the pace, the difficulty of the models you use, etc. Why not plan to begin CW-Aesop whenever you're comfortable, and then move into CW-Homer whenever she seems ready? Thanks for your question, Tracy
